Mavin Records’ Crayon Shares New Song “The One (Chop Life)” Featuring DJ Tarico’s Yaba Buluku Boyz

Mavin, Crayon has shared a new single “The One (Chop Life)” featuring Mozambican music trio Yaba Buluku Boyz. The song’s title and cover art is inspired by the American sci-fi movie “The Matrix”, with Crayon suited like star character Neo (played by Keanu Reeves); the Buluku Boys, DJ Tarico, Preck, and Nelson Tivane also follow suit. Their photo is layered with hints of green and superimposed over a background of the iconic matrix code.

“The One (Chop Life)” is produced by DJ Tarico, and is essentially a party song featuring lots of braggadocio from Cryon: “I’m Oga, I’m the one who shot down the bar…” And why not?

The Mavin Records singer has enjoyed a strong run in the build-up to this song; he’s got a lot to celebrate. From his impressive single “Ijo (Laba Laba),” to making a huge impact on the Mavin All Stars album, “Chapter X”, Crayon must have enjoyed 2022. He has ridden that wave into 2023 with “The One (Chop Life).” Check it out below.
