May: Top movies watchlist

A Quiet Place 2, Cruella, Army of The Dead and some of the best movies of May 2021.

Thanks to COVID-19 vaccinations around the globe- movie theatres are now reopening, although not at max capacity in many places. It is good news for moviegoers, as cinema business and theatrical releases are returning to normalcy. However, many studios and distribution companies, just like in recent times will continue to dualize the release of their projects, making them available for streaming and viewing in cinemas. Here are a some of the top movies coming to cinemas and streaming services this May.

Wrath of Man

Wrath of Man follows H, a man who works at a cash transport truck company in charge of transporting millions of dollars around Los Angeles.

Those Who Wish Me Dead

Angelina Jolie returns to acting in this crime thriller about a teenager who witnesses a murder and is trailed by twin assassins in Montana who want to conceal the offender. Him and a survival expert tasked with protecting him find themselves also dealing with a forest inferno.

Spiral is from American horror thriller, SAW movie series. It follows the story of a sadistic mastermind who unleashes a twisted and terrifying form of justice.

Army of The Dead

Zack Snyder joins forces with Shay Hatten and Joby Harold to bring this story about a group of mercenaries pulling off a grand heist in a zombie quarantine zone. Expect mind-blowing action, twists, and lots of explosions.

Cruella

Disney brings a backstory movie about their 101 Dalmatians villain, Cruella De Vil to live action. It stars Emma Stone as teenage Cruella (Estella). Estella dreams of becoming a fashion designer but seems to always run out of luck. However, she soon finds herself exactly where she wants to be when she is commissioned by a rock star to create a signature look for them. But while doing so, she discovers that the life she always dreamed of may come at a cost; she also must decide if it’s everything she hoped for.
Starring: Emma Stone, Mark Strong, and Emma Thompson

That’s a lot of good stuff coming this May. With many of them coming to cinemas, perhaps it’s not a bad time to plan movie dates with loved ones. Better still, you could invite them over for streams and some chills.
