After one album, a couple of singles, and multiple disputes, rising singer, Mohbad and his team have moved to terminate their association to Naira Marley’s Marlian Music.
In a court notice served to Marley’s outfit on Tuesday, October 25, Mohbad wants out of Marlian Music following alleged physical abuse, denial of benefits, royalties and other monetary compensations.
Mohbad joined Marlian Music in 2019. He made his album debut in 2020 with the 8-track “Light.” Some of his most notorious songs under the label “Marlian Anthem,” the viral anthem with Rexxie “Kpk (Ko Por Ke), “Feel Good” and “Ronaldo.”

The 26-year-old and his label have been at loggerheads since the turn of this year, beginning with accusation the label is after his life. Meanwhile, boss, Naira Marley has often spoken about his [Mohbad] history with substance abuse.
After their latest public bout, it appears their marriage can no longer continue, with the court “contract termination” notice meaning it’s nearing an abrupt end– almost like a failed marriage. Both parties will now move to tie their loose ends, and, the quicker they resolve this mess, the better.
