Mohbad takes a swipe at Naira Marley & Marlian Music in teaser for new single ‘TIFF’

Mohbad Biography

Disgruntled Marlian Music man Mohbad, has shared a teaser performance video for a new single entitled “TIFF,” where he seemingly continues his ongoing war with the record label.

The video opens with Mohbad blurting out the popular African proverb “everyday 4 the tiff…one day for the owner.” He sings on another instance “Won ti se ojoro…won fe ma corner mi,” which translates to “they have cheated…they wanted to trick me.”

In case you missed it, Mohbad sometime last month (October) in a series of tweets, alleged that he was physically assaulted at the Marlian house over his desire to change management.

Marlian Music founder/CEO Naira Marley discredited his claims of physical assault, stating that Mohbad who has a history with illicit substances was intoxicated during the events. A statement Mohbad would later describe as Naira’s attempt to hide the truth.

About 2 weeks ago on a court paper dated Tuesday, October 25 Mohbad and his team moved to terminate their association with Marlian Music, the last development on the case till this new diss-track.

Mohbad joined Marlian Music in 2019. He made his album debut in 2020 with the 8-track “Light.” Some of his most notorious songs under the label include “Marlian Anthem,” the viral song with Rexxie “Kpk (Ko Por Ke), “Feel Good” and “Ronaldo.”
