‘Mortal Kombat’ Going For Round 2. Simon McQuoid To Return As Director

Mortal Kombat sequel

Mortal Kombat was one of the movies Warner Bros released in 2021 that helped propel its streaming service, HBO Max, to greater heights.

While not the best one out of the bulk of movies to simultaneously release in theatres and HBO Max, Mortal Kombat was a surprise hit for Warner Bros, as it performed impressively in theatres as well as with its streaming numbers.

The Simon McQuoid-directed movie is based on the global video game phenomenon created by Ed Boon and John Tobias, and it’s officially getting a sequel.

Mortal Kombat 2 doesn’t yet have an official title or a release date, but it is coming. If it’s anything like the first one, we can expect some of the legacy characters in the main Mortal Kombat tournament that definitely has to happen in this sequel.

Which two characters would you like to see fight each other?

What do you think?
