Netflix Reimagines African Folktales In New Collection Of 6 Short Films From 6 African Countries

Netflix has released a teaser trailer and photos for its highly-anticipated folktale reimagination series.

The final products come at the heels of a fierce competition that saw 6 budding filmmakers emerge with take-home prizes of $25,000 plus a production budget of $75,000.

All 6 movies have been packaged into a collection premiering on the streaming service on March 29, 2023.

Since the stories are from different African countries, we expect to hear different languages from across the culture-rich confinement. If all goes as expected, this ambitious project is expected to launch a new set of future filmmakers.
