Baba Binton, an Oyo state OAP, has slumped and died on his way to work, recently.
The incident is directly linked to the Naira scarcity that has bedeviled the country for many weeks now, as the presenter was said to have been trekking to work due to lack of cash to board a vehicle.
Baba Binton worked with Fresh FM, Ibadan. Earlier in the day of his death, two of his colleagues who’d later announce his death, Komolafe Olaiya and Olalomi Amole, spoke about the unusual lateness of the presenter to the studio.
An audio later played on air captured a young man who said they’d found Baba Binton on the side of the road, slumped, and had rushed him to the university college hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
