Following the preparation by style capitals for the autumn/winter 2019 shows, Paris has moved herself to the spotlight by launching a plan outlining its steps to become bigger and better.
The Paris Good Fashion Plan was announced at the Institut Français De La Mode by Isabelle Lefort, a former fashion journalist, alongside Antoinette Guhl, deputy Mayor of Paris, and Frédéric Hocquard, an elected official in the Paris council on January 29, 2019.
About Paris Good Fashion
Isabelle Lefort had described the Paris Good Fashion as “…an open community regrouping fashion professionals, brands, entrepreneurs, designers, and experts who will be working together to establish a roadmap of the steps that can be taken to make Paris the sustainable capital of fashion”.
The initiative aims at gathering influential industry players to push eco-conscious practices forward and “…inventing a new future for fashion”, Guhl said.
This sustainability plan will be unveiled at an event in June. The projected end date coincides with 2024 Olympic games which will be held in the capital.
