Back in August, American rapper French Montana teased fans he was going to collaborate with Nigerian singer Pheelz for a remix of Pheelz’s globetrotting hit single Finesse originally featuring BNXN fka Buju.
Few months after, and the pair has got together, not just to put out the record, but also drop a silky music video that probably slaps better than the original one. Morocco-born French Montana had worked with Ice Prince and M.I Abaga in 2013, when the then Chocolate City pair recruited him for their collaboration I Swear.
Finesse was Pheelz’s first swing at singing. It remains one of Afrobeats’ finest exports of the year, and earned Pheelz his first performance at the BET Awards when the producer cum singer performed it to a live audience at the pre-show ceremony in June this year.
