Play Network Studios and FilmOne Unveil Upcoming Aki and Pawpaw Movie Poster

Play Network Studio and FilmOne Productions have unveiled the poster of their long-anticipated reboot of Aki na Ukwa, the movie that took veteran Nigerian actors Chinedu Ikedieze and Osita Iheme into Nollywood superstardom.

The new movie is titled “Aki and Pawpaw,” the characters that Ikedieze and Iheme portrayed in the classic Nollywood comedy. According to the caption accompanying the post, “Aki and Pawpaw” will premiere in theatres on December 17 and features a star-studded cast.  

Plans for the reboot was confirmed earlier this year after lots of pressure from fans to witness the reunion of both actors in similar fashion as the old movie. Biodun Stephen directs the film, with screenplay by Ozioma Ogbaji and Steph Boyo.
