Entertainment company, “Film One” has announced via Insta story that the movie Ijé would be out on Netflix in August.
Ijé: The journey is one of the first nollywood movies that garnered major reception in the cinemas back in 2010.
Asides from its intriguing storyline, the movie starred nollywood’s hotshots, Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jakande Ekehinde as lead casts. Prior to the movie, they both played lead roles in the popular 2003 movie, “Blood Sisters”.
Written and directed by Chineze Anyaene, Ijé tells the tale of two sisters, Chioma and Anya, played by Genevieve and Omotola. Chioma leaves Nigeria to the US to help her sister, Anya, solve a murder case she’s being accused of. One of the murders being that of her record producer husband.
The 2010 movie features veteran actor, Clems Ohameze, and other international acts such as Larry Ulrich, Diana Yekinni, and John Morgan Woodward.
Ijé is set to hit the streaming service, Netflix, on August 3, 2021 and we surely can’t wait!
