Popular Nigerian rapper Gilbert Bani, professionally known as AQ has teased his return to making music in an Instagram post made on 11th April.
According to the rapper, his next project will be his most vulnerable piece of work yet, and is provisionally titled “Purple Doesn’t Exist,” at least as hinted by the post.
A provisional release date of July or August 2022 has also been set by the “God’s Work” rapper.
AQ’s last album released in May 2021 and is titled “Golden.” The album was well received amongst lovers of the rap and hip hop genre, but struggled to reach impressive commercial heights.
However, that’s common with many projects in the rap and hip hop genre, especially in this part of the world.
Another studio album from the Abia state born rapper would be his 8th of such projects after releasing in 2005, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, and consecutively in 2020 and 2021.
AQ also has 6 mixtapes (a regular feature among rappers) including 2020’s collaborative project with Jos born Nigerian rapper MI Abaga titled “The Live Report.”
