Nigerian singer and songwriter, Reekado Banks has announced the death of his mother.
The singer took to his social media handles on September 27th, 2022 to share the painful news.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, confidant & friend.
“Dorcas Olubunmi Solomon is survived by her husband, sisters, children and grandchildren. We implore the general public to keep us in prayers at this difficult time,” the announcement read.
While details on the cause of death remain private, fans and colleagues have flooded the Rora crooner’s comment section with condolence messages.
Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon popularly known as Reekado Banks rose to limelight in 2014 after he got signed to popular record label, Mavins.
Thereafter, his career reached for even greater heights as he emerged winner of the Next Rated Award at the Headies in 2015.
He exited Mavins Records in 2018 and announced the launch of his independent music label, Banks Music.
