Following the two-episode premiere of Lord of The Rings: Rings of Power, the response from audiences have been somewhat mixed. It currently holds an audience score of 39% on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes despite scoring an 85% with critics. Latest to voice their dislike of the new Amazon Prime prequel series, shocking as it may seem is none other than Elon Musk.
The billionaire in a series of tweets expressed his disappointment in the series produced by the streaming company of rival and fellow billionaire Jeff Bezos.
“Tolkein is turning in his grave.” Musk tweeted. “Almost every male character so far is a coward, a jerk or both. Only Gabriel is brave, smart and nice.”
Having already been a victim review bombing, Elon Musk clearly isn’t the only person that has a thing or two against the prequel series. Its worthy to note that regardless of the the audience reception, Rings of Power is here to stay having already secured a 5-season commitment at Amazon Prime, so people might have to get on board with the series or skip it altogether.
The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power is currently streaming on Prime Video.
