Born David Tokuma Dekor, fast-rising Afrobeats/Afrofusion star, Pawzz has earned the spotlight as the newest “Up Next” act in Nigeria and will be featured across Apple Music’s Nigeria’s Up Next playlist.
This curated playlist showcases a diverse array of new and emerging artists, carefully hand-picked by Apple Music editors from around the world. The Up Next playlist is genre-agnostic, representing a lineup of artists that Apple Music’s global editors are passionate about and eager to introduce to a wider audience.
Speaking on the development, Pawzz said: “It’s a real honor for me, a young kid from Nigeria’s middle belt, to be selected as Apple Music’s Up Next artist. I can’t express how grateful I am to Apple Music for their love and support for my music. It just brings so much validation to my journey, the years of sacrifice and striving to achieve my dreams. Pawzz, has been collaborating with Freeme Music, a renowned distribution and label services company, to unleash his full potential. With a focus on embracing his unique individuality, he aims to inspire and positively impact the youth through his music, encouraging them to embrace their authentic selves.
Pawzz’s debut EP, “Prezz Play,” was released through Freeme Music earlier in January 2023 and features a captivating blend of Afrobeats, Afropop, Alté, R&B, and Amapiano.
