Samuel Ortom: Benue state governor narrowly escapes assassination

Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom (59) says he narrowly escaped assassination from alleged herdsmen. According to a Channels TV report, the incident happened on Saturday March 20 at Tyo Mu, along the Makurdi/Gboko road in the Benue state capital, Makurdi.

“I don’t have a problem with Fulani men, but I do have a problem with Fulani bandits who have vowed to take over Nigeria as their ancestral home,” said the governor when speaking to gentlemen of the press.

He called for the arrest and prosecution of the leadership of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore who he claimed recently singled him out for assassination and urged President Muhammadu Buhari, a Fulani, and the country’s security chiefs to move quickly to arrest the situation.
