Prolific Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter Sarkodie is set to feature on a new version of late legendary Jamaican Reggae musician Bob Marley, and The Wailers hit song “Stir it Up.” Recorded in 1972, but originally released on 15th January, 1973, 2023 will mark the song’s 50th anniversary.
Bob Marley died in 1981, but his management and several of his offspring have continued his work. While some of his songs and albums have been remastered and rereleased.



“Stir it Up” remix with Sarkodie will release on Friday, January 2023. Sharing his delight over the opportunity, the Ghanaian rapper said: “What a way to kick start this year!!! Definitely one of the highest moments in my career/Life… Big shouts to the team at island records @akosuas_ @Jaykjs and the Marley family for getting me on this amazing project by the legend #bobmarley… such a blessing to lay my vocals right next to the original vocals of the Gong…”
