Nollywood actress, model, and presenter Jemima Osunde has joined thousands of Nigerian graduates for the mandatory one-year National Youth Service. She joins thousands of youth corps members deployed to the Lagos state camp in Iyana Ipaja for the three weeks orientation exercise.
Jemima took to her Instagram page on Monday, June 7, 2021 to share some sun-kissed photographs of herself in the NYSC uniform.
Captioning the post, she wrote: “Is it just me or is the sun generally HOTTER at NYSC camp????? What in the name of hellfire is always going on here? See how I was smiley and what not when I got to camp in the morning.”
“Stay tuned for the not so smiley pictures by the time I was halfway done I dare not show you the pictures from when I was done cause even I didn’t recognize myself,” the Sugar star continued.
She followed that up with a series of hashtags including #SisiCorper, #CopaShun, referring to them as some of the names they call young female corpers.
The 25-year-old did not escape falling victim to the usual distribution of oversized uniforms to corp members, adding that a certain Mohammed helped her slim fit the oversized khaki. “The neck of my shirt was a disaster and my cap was absolutely crooked but I wore them like that.”
An hour later, she returned with another post accompanied by another hilarious caption. “Nigeria or @UAR, please don’t waste this one year I’m about to give you. Help me help you…olorun a wa pelu gbogbo was… Anywayyyyyy, photo dump: Otondo edition 🇳🇬.” “It’s the second to the last slide for me.” Check out what’s in that second slide below:
