There isn’t much future left in sight for See. The Jason Momoa-led dystopian thriller is set to end with its upcoming third season on Apple TV+.
See is set many years into the future of humanity as we currently know it. Humankind has lost its sense of sight; Baba Voss (Jason Momoa), the father of twins who are born with the mythic ability to see, must protect his tribe against a threatened queen.
Deadline reports on a potential form for the upcoming season thus:
“In season three, almost a year has passed since Baba Voss (Momoa) defeated his nemesis brother Edo, played by Dave Bautista, and bid farewell to his family to live remotely in the forest. But when a Trivantian scientist develops a new and devastating form of sighted weaponry that threatens the future of humanity, Baba returns to Paya in order to protect his tribe once more.”
Joining the returning regulars for See season three are Sylvia Hoeks, Hera Hilmar, Christian Camargo, Archie Madekwe, Nesta Cooper, Tom Mison, Olivia Cheng, Eden Epstein, Michael Raymond-James, David Hewlett, and Kelly Dunn, among others.
Showrunner and exec producer Jonathan Tropper had this to say about the final season:
“We are thrilled to share this epic final chapter of ‘See,’ which delivers all the intense drama, riveting action, and heartfelt emotion fans have come to expect, as well as what we think is a deeply satisfying conclusion to our story.”
See season premieres on August 26, 2022, exclusive to Apple TV+.
