Shanty Town is a 6-episode crime thriller coming to Netflix this January.
Written by Xavier Ighorodje and Chichi Nworah, the series follows a group of courtesans attempts to escape the grasp of a notorious kingpin – but political corruption and blood ties make freedom a near-impossible goal.
Shanty Town is directed by Dimeji Ajibola (Ratnik), and is clearly a passion project from the ambitious filmmaker.
An ensemble cast will be leading the show when it debuts on Netflix; it includes Ini Edo, Chidi Mokeme, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Nancy Isime, Sola Sobowale, Zubby Micheal, Toyin Abraham, Nancy Isime, Lilian Afe, Paul Mr. P Okoye, Regina Daniel, Ali Nuhu, and Shaffy Bello, to mention but a few.
