Smart Money Woman, the TV series based on Arese Ugwu’s book of the same title, is expected to begin production later this year. According to Pulse NG, as soon as this June.
The first season of the show followed five glamorous women -Zuri, Ladun, Tami, Adesua, and Lara- striving for success as they juggle careers, love, and friendships, and was loved by viewers around the world.



Earlier this year in February, Showrunner Arese Ugwu revealed the show had been renewed and shared a photo from the “first Pre-production meeting for Smart Money Woman Season 2 😊 with my (her) female-led team”
The creative team alluded to were Bunmi Ajakaiye (the director), Lala Akindoju, and Isoken Ogiemwonyi.
The main cast of Smart Money Woman is expected to return for this second season, including Osas Ighodaro, Ini Dima-Okojie, Toni Tones, Kemi Lala Akindoju, Ebenezer Eno, Seun Ajayi, Taymesan Emmanuel, and Nonso Bassey, to mention but a few.
No release date has been announced yet, nor details about whether it’ll first premiere on Africa Magic, like the first season, or on Netflix.
