Sony Pictures Entertainment released a first official trailer for their upcoming action comedy thriller entitled “Bullet Train.” The trailer has shot up buzz about the film, amassing over 1.1 million views on YouTube in little over 7 hours after its release.
Directed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2), “Bullet Train” is based on the novel Maria Beetle, published in English as Bullet Train by Japanese mystery writer Kotaro Isaka.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Brad Pitt, Joey King, Andrew Koji, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Masi Oka, Michael Shannon, Logan Lerman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Karen Fukuhara, Benito “Bad Bunny” Ocasio and veteran actress Sandra Bullock.
The trailer reveals lots of fight and stunts, with Brad Pitt at the centre of it all. It promises lots of action and humour with the way the fights are choreographed.
According to the film’s early synopsis, “Five assassins find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to each other.”
“Bullet Train” drops in theatres worldwide on Friday, 15 July but first, catch the trailer below.
