American rapper, DeAndre Cortez Way popularly known as Soulja Boy is expecting his first child with his partner, Los Angeles-based hairstylist, Jackilyn Martinez.
The kiss me thru the phone crooner revealed this via Instagram, where he hosted a gender reveal party with family and friends.
In the video, Soulja Boy and his partner were both seen sending off blue dust from an egg into the air before embracing each other in front of their loved ones.
“It’s a boy ‼️👶🏾🙏🏾🥺😝🥳” he captioned.
The 31-year-old also shared his excitement in an Insta story post later on saying, “THANK YOU GOD. SUCH A BLESSING. DEAR SON I WILL LOVE U FOREVER.”
Soulja boy first expressed his desire to be a father in September 2021 when he wrote in his Instagram Stories,
“I have everything I want in life except for a son. God please bless me I’ve been patient.”
According to TMZ, the rapper’s partner, Martinez has worked as a hair stylist for several celebrities such as Brandy, Nicki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian, among others.
However, it still remains unclear how long the couple have been together, and how far along Martinez is in her pregnancy.
