According to multiple reports, popular South African DJ and music producer, DJ Sumbody is dead. Sumbody who was renowned for popularising the Amapiano sound was found dead inside his Volkswagen Golf car midnight on Sunday, November 20 in Johannesburg.
According to a Guateng police report, the DJ and his driver appeared to have been indiscriminately shot at by unidentified assailants. As at the time they approached the crime scene, the DJ and the driver were already dead. A third victim, however, a driver of one BMW X5 sustained significant injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“Police received a complaint about a shooting on Woodmead Drive at approximately 12.30am. Upon arrival at the scene, police found two people inside a VW Golf with gunshot wounds. Both victims, a driver, and a passenger were certified dead on the scene. It was reported that the third victim, who was driving a BMW X5, was taken to the nearest medical care centre after sustaining gunshot wounds. Police appeal to anyone with information that can help in the investigation or assist in the apprehension of the suspects to call the crime stop number or report to the nearest police station.
