Temi Otedola has made her stage debut in Bolane Austen Peter’s Motherland proving to naysayers yet again that her venture into the movie scene isn’t a fluke.
Directed and produced by Nigeria’s ‘Queen of Theatre’, Motherland sees Temi play the role of ‘Young Hassana’, a Fulani girl who must wade through the political and social turmoil of 1957 Nigeria while fighting for forbidden love.

Although set in Modern day Nigeria, Motherland tells its story by making repeated visits to the past, offering a fast-paced, emotional look into the country’s history and current state.
Staring alongside Temi are actors like Francis Onwochei, Bamike Olawunm-Adenibuyan, and Uzo Osimkpa.
Temi Otedola first broke into the Nollywood movie scene with the lead role in Kunle Afolayon’s Citation, before going on to star in Amazon Prime Original’s The Man For the Job, cementing herself as one the industry’s promising movie stars.
