News about multi-Grammy-winning American vocalist, Beyonce’s forthcoming album Rennaissance slated to be released on the 29th of July has emerged, with talented Pop and RNB Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems credited as one of the songwriters.
Beyonce shared a single Break My Soul off the album a couple of weeks ago, and according to multiple reports, Rennaissance is going to be a 16-track list play (LP), with one particular song lasting for over 6 minutes.
Tems is credited on track 10, Move off Renaissance. However, she’s not the only Nigerian who happens to have contributed to the forthcoming project. Also credited on Beyonce’s next album is Nigerian-born British producer Richard Olowaranti Mbu Isong AKA P2J.
Recall that it was P2J and Tempoe that coproduced Wizkid’s monstrous hit song ‘Essence’ in 2021, with Tems making that famous guest appearance. As for the 26-year-old singer, her global appeal continues to soar after appearing in Drake and Future’s respective albums and winning a BET award, all in the past one year.
On Wednesday, July 20, Bey unveiled the Renaissance track list via her website, exactly nine days before the project officially hits streaming services.

“Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving,” Beyonce wrote in a note shared on social media.
“My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.”

Rennaisance, being her sixth solo album, will be her first since ‘Lemonade’ which released in 2016 and the ‘Lion King: The Gift’ soundtrack she made for the remake of the Walt Disney film in 2019. That soundtrack album also contained a lot of collaborations with African artists, such as Wizkid and Burna Boy.
