Wizkid, Tems, and CKay were honoured at the Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) London Awards. The private ceremony was held at London’s Savoy Hotel on Monday (Oct. 3), with British singer Ed Sheeran and John McDaid winning the European song of the year with their hit song “Bad Habits.”
Tems joined English singer Ellie Goulding to receive the BMI President’s Award, while Wizkid and CKay were honoured in the pop songwriting category for their sensational records Essence (featuring Tems and Justin Bieber) and Love Nwantiti respectively.
The BMI Awards are honours presented annually by Broadcast Music, Inc., honoring songwriters, composers, and music publishers in various genres.
This year has been full of remarkable achievements for Tems who is yet to make her full album debut, with the global breakout star enjoying both commercial success and acclaim off the back of two EPs and multiple international hits and collaborations.
