Starring, Robert Pattinson as the titular Batman and Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, writer/director Matt Reeves’ DC superhero movie “The Batman” has opened to high praise from critics and movie experts.
“The Batman” will make its theatrical debut in Nigeria this Friday, March 4, and ahead of public screening, throwing some bucks at it would likely make for a great experience, especially now that we’ve seen the report cards.
Matt Reeves is joined behind the camera by Greg Freiser, the same cinematographer that worked with Denis Villeneuve on “Dune.” “Dune” turned out to be the best film of 2021, bagging the most nominations (10) at the forthcoming edition of the Oscars.
Besides, “The Batman,” like we’ve been teased all this while, will most likely be different from the typical Batman movies. As marked by Pattinson’s casting as Bruce Wayne, there’s renewed optimism among fans for a different and unique experience.

The plot and trailer have already established its an origin story, a mysterious crime-thriller, with original Batman villains “Penguin” and “Riddler” joining the reboot.
Several established movie critics have also had their say, praising the film’s plot, actors’ performances, and Matt Reeves camera angles.
Popular video game reviews and entertainment website IGN called the movie ” a gripping, gorgeous, and, at times, genuinely scary psychological crime thriller that gives Bruce Wayne the grounded detective story he deserves.”
They continue “riter/director Matt Reeves managed to make a Batman movie that’s entirely different from the others in the live-action canon, yet surprisingly loyal to Gotham lore as a whole. Ultimately, it’s one that thoroughly earns its place in this iconic character’s legacy.”
8.8/10 rating on IMDB and 85% critics score (out of 271 votes) on Rotten Tomatoes, there’s absolutely no reason to not hit the cinemas for “The Batman” this weekend.
According to Reeves, the plan was to beat Christopher Nolan’s trilogy, which many agree are the best live action Batman movies, and if the critics are true, he wasn’t bluffing.
