Just last week, the first of many Marvel Cinematic Universe series to come came to an end- WandaVision was considered a huge success by fans of the MCU as well as critics. As Disney continues to expand the universe, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to premier on Disney+ from Friday, 19th March. If you haven’t seen the trailer of the new miniseries, see it here.
The film is set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, and centres on Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), aka The Falcon, taking over the Captain America shield, and Sergeant James Buchanan or Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) aka The Winter Soldier, grappling with 21st century life as the pair team up in a globe-trotting mission to take down an anarchist group called the Flag-Smashers. Expect the adventure to test their abilities and patience.

Daniel Brühl will return as Zemo, wearing his traditional purple mask from the comics. Emily VanCamp is back as Sharon Carter, Peggy’s niece and former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Wyatt Russell is also set to appear as John F. Walker/US Agent, the US government’s militaristic successor to Captain America. Plus, Don Cheadle is set to make an appearance as War Machine.
The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman as head writer. Expect lots of action, explosion, and active character development.
