They hit the news and media space hard on Monday, January 31, when they confirmed rumours they are expecting a child, their first child together, with probably the most reposted picture in the history of social media.

Truth be told, we all love to see influential and captivating people get together, Rihana and Rocky both fit that profile, and for long they’ve made celebrity dating look absolutely electric and adorable.

They have another thing in common- their topnotch dress sense and fashion style. Costumes like the one they wore for their baby bump photoshoot proves that point.

Who would have known? Indeed, friendships can morph into more serious relationships. ASAP Rocky’s signature hit song “Fashion Killa” was made complete with Rihana appearing as his vixen in the video. The song and video will forever be remembered by their loyal fans as where it all started for the soon to be co-parents. Seriously, who’s a better fashion killa than Robyn Fenty herself? Boy does her pistol go!

2012 MTV Video Music Awards (2012)

Rihana performed several songs at the MTV VMAs in 2012, and was joined on stage by Rocky to rap his verse on the remix of “Cockiness.” Rih wore a red dress designed by Adam Selman, leather pants from Balenciaga, Jeremy Scott sunglasses, and Jordan 2012s. Meanwhile Rocky donned a long black shirt with leather details, black shorts, and a black snap-back worn backwards.

Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2019 Runway Show (2019)

Monogrammed outfits, leather trunk bags, transparent Keepall duffle bag…This was all the work of late Ghanaian-American fashion designer Virgil Abloh, who first worked with the now-couple on the set of “Fashion Killa.” Abloh once again brought them together for his debut Louis Vuitton run way show.

Rocky joined Rihana during her 2020 Fenty Skin campaign, which saw the expansion of her Fenty fashion brand, including the addition of cosmetics and underwear. Fenty Skin launched in July of 2020.

The Fashion Awards 2019 (2019)

Match made in heaven! The most obvious thing to see here is, “murder on the red carpet.” Rocky and Rihana put Fenty on show; both donned full Fenty fits. Rihanna opted for a mint green satin dress, gloves, wrap, and heels with diamonds cascading down her back. Rocky went with a slouchy black suit. The rapper has even stated that this was his favorite look that Rihanna has ever worn in a GQ interview last year.

Met Gala (2021)

This iconic look got everyone talking. Already in the Met Gala elite in terms of best dressed to the annual event, this was their first Met outing as a couple. Rihanna and Rocky pulled out all the stops. Rocky came out wearing a giant quilted jacket inspired from a piece in ERL’s Spring 2022 collection. According to The New York Times, Eli Russell Linnetz made a custom for Rocky out of fabric scraps, antique quilts, and even his father’s own bathrobe. Rihanna came through with a dress crafted by Demna Gvasalia of Balenciaga.

How many people drip in finesse when rocking street wear like this? Answer is, not many people. Rihana really wore a Balenciaga puffer over a Martine Rose football jersey and nothing else below that except a pair of Amina Muaddi Georgia crystal-strap suede wrap sandals. Big fashion call, but Rihanna still pulls it off with elegance, wearing a nice pair of Saint Laurent earrings, Miu Miu ski globes, and a R13 face hat to cap it off. Meanwhile, Rocky respected the cold weather, wearing a fur coat, a floral beanie, some black jeans, a vintage crew neck, and a pair of Bottega Veneta Tire Boots.

It was camo day for Rocky, pulling up in different shades of the iconic military print from Vetements. Rihanna’s shopping fit is a bit more subtle. She paired a black Paris hoodie from Balenciaga with a long black overcoat.

Baby Bump Photoshoot (2022)

How often do you see baby bump photoshoots like this one? The answer is simply not often. To confirm her pregnancy, Rihanna and Rocky called up Miles Diggs, a celebrity photographer who has a history of shooting Rihanna’s looks on the street, and headed to Rocky’s Harlem hometown. Rih wore a vintage pink Chanel puffer jacket from the Fall 1996 collection with baggy jeans and a Christian Lacroix necklace. Rocky wore a denim Carhartt hoodie, a knit hooded sweater, black leather pants, and a knit beanie.
