After a 7-year hiatus, Gulder Ultimate Search (GUS) will make its return to TV, a new teaser has revealed. GUS was a popular Nigerian reality TV show that aired from 2004-2016, spanning a total of 11 seasons before the sponsors pulled the plug on the commercial project.
Fans had been subtly campaigning to bring the show back and have now gotten some joy following the announcement via the official Instagram page of Gulder Lager Beer Nigeria. “We heard your call, we heeded and now the #GulderUltimateSearch is back!!!,” they captioned the teaser. A separate page has also been set up for the show.
GUS is an adventure themed reality TV show, where contestants are tested for their teamworking abilities, endurance, strength, intellect, skills, and so on. The show has been hosted by Nollywood actors Bob Manuel Udokwu and Chidi Mokeme in the past, however a fresh face might yet be announced to helm this return.
According to reports, potential contestants can start applying to be part of the show from September 1, 2021 and applications will be received via the GUS official website. Auditions will take place regionally in several cities including Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
