A group of really passionate fans have banded together and started a petition for Netflix to bring back Henry Cavill in his iconic role as Geralt of Rivia, the titular Witcher in the eponymous Netflix show.
Recent reports revealed that Cavill, who has starred in the role since its 2019 premiere, is set to drop the mantle after the upcoming third season. Liam Hemsworth has already been announced as his replacement to continue the role from an already-commissioned season 4.
Fans worldwide are heartbroken and a group has decided to take matters into their hands and strong-arm Netflix into retaining Henry Cavill in the role. The petition has over 26,000 signatures at the time of this writing and the petitioners are threatening Netflix with loss of customers following season 3
The Witcher follows Geralt of Rivia (Cavill), an enchanted mercenary who is hired to kill mythical creatures but finds himself at the center of a political power struggle between warring kingdoms and must protect a young princess who carries an incredible mysterious power within her.
