Thief jumps into Lagos lagoon after snatching phone in traffic

A suspected thief has alledgely jumped into the Lagos lagoon after successfully snatching a phone from a passenger in traffic. However unlucky for him, he couldn’t swim and nearly saw himself drowning.

According to a Facebook user identified as Abeke Mabawonku, who shared the post of the incident on Facebook, the suspected thief who could not swim, jumped into the Lagos lagoon after snatching a phone from a passenger in traffic yesterday afternoon, February 15th 2019.

Luck however ran out on the thief as a result of his inability of swimming after he had successfully escaped into the Lagoon. He thereafter cried out for help and was in turn rescued by passersby who also proceeded to recovering the stolen phone from him.

Ashamed of his act, the thief asked and begged his saviors that he be thrown back into the lagoon, but these people refused to lynch him nor throw him into the Lagoon. But instead, He has since been handed over to the police.

Sharing the post on Facebook, Abeke Mabawonku wrote;

Suspected thief who could not swim, jumped into the Lagos lagoon after snatching a phone from a passenger in traffic this afternoon ….He was rescued and the phone was recovered from him.

Reporting this news, I had just one news in my mind; may this kind of luck always run out of every thief out there. Amen.
