Veteran Nigerian Actor Baba Suwe is Dead

Legendary Yoruba actor, Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, has been confirmed dead.⁣⁣ He was 63-years-old.⁣⁣

News of his demise was confirmed by his son, Adesola Omidina, via his official Instagram page @Omo_Omidina on Monday.⁣⁣

“This is to announce the sudden death of my father Mr. Babatunde Omidina. The legend and rare gem “ Babasuwe ° Other details will follow shortly! May your soul rest in perfect peace Dad,” Adesola said in the post.⁣⁣

Baba Suwe has been suffering a partial stroke since his ordeal with the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency ( NDLEA) in 2011.

Born on August 22, 1958, in Inabere Street in Lagos Island where he grew up, Baba Suwe starred in several hit Yoruba TV shows and films including Omolasan, Iru Esin, Baba Londoner, Baba Jaiye Jaiye, and many more.
