Professor Yemi Osibanjo–Nigeria’s Vice President–is a man of culture!

The VP exhibited an admirable awareness of Afrobeats and proved that he knows what our artists have been up to recently, during his address at the UNTWO World Tourism Organisation Global Conference which held in Lagos on Monday, 14 November 2022.

Osibanjo did not only speak glowing praise of several Nigerian artists, he also sang the hook of Burna Boy’s Last Last, analysed its meaning and quoted some lines from Asake’s Organise, and Kizz Daniel’s Buga to drive home his message.

He’s remained committed to expanding Nigeria’s cultural and arts industry, chairing the boards of several initiatives put together to rally support for artisans, entertainers, and traditional and digital creators.

Check out a short footage of Osibanjo’s address during the event.
