On Friday, 29th October, Netflix premiered a first official trailer of the second season of their hugely successful adventure fantasy series “The Witcher.”
After several delays, including that caused by the wicked Covid-19 pandemic, which disrupted production, hence the original plans for the release of The Witcher Season 2, the series will now premiere on Netflix on the 17th of December.
Geralt of Rivia, aka The Witcher (Henry Cavill) continues his journey with Ciri (Freya Allan) and the aesthetically charming powerful witch Yennefer (Anya Chalotra), not forgetting Geralt’s newfound friend, Dandelion the poet and Bard, played by Joey Batey.
As in the best selling book series of the same title written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, Geralt’s very core assignment is to slay monsters, making the world a better place. However, his destiny, that of Ciri and the witch Yennefer are intertwined, and each of their actions and choices ultimately affects the group, especially as the fate of the kingdom depends on them.
