In The Eyes Of Tammy Faye is an upcoming American biopic that stars Jessica Chastain and Andrew Garfield as the Bakkers, the married couple from Minnesota who—in their pursuit of sharing God’s word—created a televangelist empire. The two were the founders of The 700 Club and co-founded the television show The PTL Club also known as The Jim and Tammy Show which collapsed following a sex scandal between Jim and church secretary Jessica Hahn. Hahn alleged to have been raped by Jim.
The Eyes Of Tammy Faye will take an “intimate look at the extraordinary rise, fall and redemption of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker. The Eyes of Tammy Faye is directed by Michael Showalter with a screenplay written by Abe Sylvia. It is expected in cinemas worldwide from the 17th of September 2021.
