Watch this Basketmouth’s hilarious promotional video for Adekunle Gold’s ‘Catch Me If You Can’ concert in Lagos

I just nearly cracked my ribs laughing at this hilarious promotional video shared by renowned stand-up comedian Basketmouth for Adekunle Gold’s upcoming Catch Me If You Can Concert in Lagos.

The video begins with Basketmouth appearing to kick off the advert with one of his satires before being interrupted by fellow comedian, friend, and partner I Go Save. I Go Save tries to find out what his friend is up to, and when he discovers he’s trying to make a promotional video for the upcoming concert, rips into his methods and advises the Horoscopes mastermind against using the phrase “hi guys” to open his promotions, referring to it as now overused and boring.

I Go Save then begins heaping sarcastic praises on Basketmouth. Confused and dumbfounded at the same time, Basketmouth leaves the room and camera for I Go Save, who surprisingly takes over the spotlight and resumes the ad, ironically using the same “hi guys” he cautioned his colleague against using. Adekunle Gold will perform live on Sunday, December 18 at the Eko Hotel Convention Center, V.I., Lagos– a homecoming show that shares its title “Catch Me If You Can” with Gold’s latest body of work.
