Olufunke Ayotunde Akindele-Bello is popularly known as Funke Akindele or Jenifa.
She was born on August 24, 1977 in Ikorodu, Lagos state.
Funke has an OND in Mass Communication from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State and a Law degree from the University of Lagos.
She rose to limelight after starring in popular sitcom “I Need to Know” which ran from 1998-2002 as Bisi.
However, her big break to stardom came in 2008 after her comedy-drama movie “Jenifa”.
The actress plays lead character in her ongoing TV series “Jenifas Diary” which is a spin-off from her movie “Jenifa”.
The name “Bello” stems from her marriage to Nigerian rapper, Abdulrasheed Bello a.k.a JJC Skillz. They got married in 2016.
She has been awarded Best Actress in a comedy role at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA) for three years in a row.
She made her directorial debut in 2019 political drama film “Your excellency”.
