“I gat love for Burna Boy, I gat love for Davido” — Wizkid Proclaims During Afronation Performance

Wizkid got mad love for Afro music, and that extends to everyone who puts in work to ensure that the industryis where it is today.

During his performance at Afronation Portugal 2022, Wizkid put a pause on the sound to share a few kind words for Burna Boy and Davido.

“I want to tell you tonight, Starboy, I gat love for Burna Boy, I gat love for Davido…and I want to thank you the fans for supporting us,” said Wiz, as he paced about the stage.

Often referred to as the big 3 of Nigerian music, the trio’s respective fanbases are usually at loggerheads, even when things appear to be different.

However, contrary to fans’ assertions, all three camps appear to maintain a cordial relationship, after all, Wizkid and Burna Boy did collaborate on a track Balloon d’Or earlier this year.

Afronation Portugal 2022 is a 3-day celebration of Afrobeats, with many as many as 50 international acts such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido, Megan Thee Stallion, Chris Brown, Tory Lanez, Focalistic, Lojay, Popcan, CKay, PSquare, Omah Lay and more performing.
