Wizkid’s highly anticipated fifth solo album “More Love Less Ego (MLLE)” drops next month, on Friday, 4th November to be precise. Two impressive records, “Bad To me” and “Money & Love” have already set the tone for what to expect from the 12-track project, and with only a few days before its premiere, Wiz is still hyping up the album’s deliverables.
In a viral video, the Made In Lagos mastermind made mention of a surprise collaboration on his forthcoming project with a certain artist whom fans thought he’s not been in good terms with. Nonetheless, according to a post he shared via Instagram disclosing the features on the soon-to-be-released album, none of them fit that description.
One artist quickly comes to mind, however, and would certainly make “MLLE” bigger. Davido. The FC and the 30 BG have had a cat-mouse relationship about who the bigger and better artist is between Wizkid and Davido. Despite both acts often fuelling the antics with obscure social media comments, there’s been nothing official to suggest a rift between arguably the two biggest Afrobeats acts.

Fans have been adamant their fandoms would never collaborate on a song despite gracing the same stage back in 2019 and sharing a warm embrace while clubbing earlier this year. Recall that is was almost a similar situation with Burna Boy before Wiz surprisingly teamed up with the African Giant singer earlier this year for their hit sing “Ballon d’Or.”
If we get a Wizkid and Davido collaboration off “MLLE,” I reckon it would be a spectacular and special season for neutrals, fans who value the two prolific singers equally. Perhaps it would also cause the FC and 30 BG to put their differences aside for the first time in a long time. It’s only a matter of days before we find out.
