The world needs More Love, Less Ego, and Wizkid might be bringing it to a city near you soon enough.
Just a week after the release of his fifth solo album, the prolific singer announced he’ll be going on a North American tour beginning next year 20223. As well as major cities in the US, Wiz will make a few select stops in Canada.
However, before kicking off the North American tour, Wizkid will play shows in New York at the prestigious Maddison Square Garden on November 16– making him only the second Afrobeats act to headline a show at the 20K capacity venue after Burna did so earlier this year.
From MSG, Wiz will take the band to Amsterdam, where he will perform at the Ziggo Dome on November 24. The two concerts will be followed by shows in Accra and Abidjan on December 10 & 11 respectively.
Where else to end the year, if not Wizkid’s roots, Lagos– the entertainment capital of the Motherland. Wiz will be with his original fans on home soil on the 30th of December.
Big Wiz will formally kick off his U.S. tour on March 3 in Houston, Texas. The trek will see him perform Dallas, Miami, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Seattle, and San Francisco before wrapping up on April 7 in Inglewood, California.
Wiz has confirmed several times that the tittle of his latest body of work is no mere coincidence; it was indeed inspired by love. The new project includes singles Bad to Me and Money & Love.
