Originally, Made In Lagos released on 30th October 2020 as a 14-track album. In August 2021, Wiz released a deluxe version of the project with 4 additional songs, including the chart topping and record-breaking Pop hit Essence Remix featuring Justin Bieber, and Tems who appeared on the original record.

The album is Wizkid’s fourth album in little-over-a-decade-long career, and has earned him accolades all over the world including two Grammy nominations, and a BET Award.
