“You Smell Nice”

On micro-blogging social media platform Twitter, an ongoing debate ensued after a Twitter user identified as Taiwo expressed her view over an applicant who according to her tweets lost out on a potential job opportunity by complimenting her on how she smelled.

In a tweet she termed it unprofessional and downright rude to compliment an interviewer on anything let alone on their fragrance. She has since locked her account so we can’t bring you the tweet but these are some of the reactions.

The jury is still out on this one. Is it wrong to give compliments to your interviewer or is Taiwo just overreacting? The never ending drama on social media.
