“Till the second coming of Jesus Christ, I go dey give them,” Zlatan says in his new single “Omo Ologo”. The song’s English translation from his native Yoruba refers to “child of glory”, and from girls dressed in mock nun outfits to a group of choristers and tinges of albescent clouds, elements of sanctity surround the record’s accompanying video.
Zlatan may yet release his third studio album this year. He’s kept busy since the release of his second, “Resan” in 2021, which was a follow-up to the classic “Zanku”. The Zanku master, as he is fondly hailed, is regarded as one of the pioneers of street-hop in Nigeria, inspiring the likes of Zinoleesky, Seyi Vibez, and Bella Shmurda.
